Owner and Coach
When I walked into a CrossFit gym eleven years ago, I was in awe of the athletes doing butterfly pullups, double-unders, snatches etc. It was like nothing I had seen before. Definitely not in the big box gym I was going to. I loved the variety of the workouts. Every day was different. Every day challenged me like I had never been challenged before. I felt strong and weak at the same time. Over the years, I decided to take my CrossFit Level 1. I mistakenly believed the "test" was going to be the typical college test I was used to. I can honestly say it was the hardest test I had ever taken. For the first time, I was afraid of failing a test because I wanted to coach the sport I had fallen in love with so badly. The Level 1 made me want to learn more. Do more. I took more classes to hone my skills as a coach and an athlete and my goal is to share what I know and inspire others to learn and do more.
My why is health. Health for me, my family, my friends, my community. CrossFit is the definition of health. Every day, athletes choose to walk in the door and push themselves to their limits in order to walk out healthier than they were when they came in. To be a part of their experience is an honor. It is a privilege. And it is a responsibility I willingly accept in hopes of making a difference.
